Choosing a device
Fuel cell (electrochemical) sensors react only to alcohol, giving accurate, repeatable readings that hold up for evidential and compliance use — they're the choice for enforcement and audited workplace testing. Semiconductor sensors are more sensitive and far more affordable, which makes them ideal for high-volume everyday screening where you mainly need a fast pass/fail.
